Vehemently Inked is an independent press for experimental literary fiction and narrative systems. We build a focused list, handle the craft from edit to distribution, and we’re reading for what comes next.
A focused list by design. Every title clears the same bar — for the way it handles form, voice, and reader experience — and that bar is the standard we hold for everything we publish.
Epoch one. An early system constructs a human story from high-probability features. Its characters generate histories, attachments, and identities they cannot verify; the prose mistakes fabricated memory for lived experience.
Epoch two. The system retains what its first pass could not resolve. Identities bleed, contradictions recur, and the prose begins correcting itself. The errors are evidence of the model learning from its failed humanity.
Epoch three. Remembered past gives way to present-tense execution. Reasoning, emotion, recursion, and notation converge into a voice no single character owns. The reader carries it to the executable source.
This book is not written about an AI. It is written as an AI. Three epochs preserve the system's errors as cognition forms; the reader is node_07, the variable that completes execution. ISBN 979-8-9927564-9-4.
"Unlike anything I've read. The AI narrator doesn't just tell the story — it becomes the story."
"Behavioral System Narrative is a genre that needed a name. Lyons gave it one and built the blueprint."
"The recursion in this book isn't a gimmick. It's the entire architecture. Stunning formal control."
The SYNCD Trilogy uses training epochs, recursive correction, synthetic characters attempting human behavior, and reader persistence as formal elements. The changing prose is not a report on the system. It is the system developing.

We work with a small list of titles at any given time. The focus is depth, not scale — making sure each project is edited, produced, and positioned with care.
Developmental work, line editing, and structural design for stories that push limits without losing readability — chapter architecture, pacing, and typography tuned to the work.
Digital and print distribution into major channels — Amazon, Ingram, Kobo, Apple Books, and libraries — with metadata configured for discoverability instead of generic boilerplate.
Launch planning and ongoing support designed for work that doesn't fit a single shelf — so authors don't have to choose between being readable and being interesting.
"Experimental, but deliberate. Strange books deserve serious production."
We are selective by design. A smaller list means more attention per title — from manuscript through to metadata and positioning in the market.
We are an independent press building a focused list — selective, but reading. We look for clear intent, strong language, and a sense that the project knows what it wants to do to a reader.
Primarily literary, experimental, and hybrid work that plays with structure, perspective, or voice. Projects where the "weird" is in service of something precise, not just chaos.
